【新唐人2014年9月18日訊】深圳某大型公司的陳總，多年來在招聘人才時，在最後一關，她總會問一個很奇怪的問題：「假如你目前的收入並不是很高，但足以維持生活，目前正在考慮租房，有兩種選擇，一種是和其他三位朋友合租高檔小區兩室一廳的精裝修房，室內傢具家電齊全，周邊都是成功人士，房租押一付三，平均每人每月還要分攤400元的房租和物業費、水電費；另外一個是城中村的小單間，聚居著小商販、民工和無業人士，但房租很便宜，只要250元，房租押一付一，但房間很小，除了一張床什麼也放不下。你會如何選擇？」 廣告 多年來，這個問題有很多人回答過，但歸結起來只有四種答案： 第一種：我會選擇便宜的房子，環境我不在乎，至於別人什麼意見，與我無關。 第二種：我會選擇住高檔小區，人生匆匆，就是要學會享受。 第三種：如果大家都選擇住高檔小區，為了大家共同的利益，我會考慮合租。生活的壓力也會激發我賺錢的動力。 第四種：我會選擇高檔小區，因為環境會影響到一個人的人生觀和價值觀，好的環境能夠培養出高雅的生活品位，力爭過上更好的生活，也會更加清晰自己的目標和追求。 通常，對於第一種人，不論對方多麼優秀，陳總一概不錄用；第二種人她可能會留下，但不會重用，會分配文員或是打雜一類的崗位；第三種選擇的人，除了應聘者有特定的崗位要求外，她一般會安排他們做業務或是基層的領導；而對於第四種人，通常會分配到重要的崗位，並給予更多培訓和提升的機會。 這天，陳總再次拒絕了一位國內知名大學的「高才生」，人事經理終於按捺不住自己激動的情緒，拿著對方的簡歷，推開陳總辦公室的門，「質問」道：「這麼優秀的人才為何不錄用？公司到底需要什麼樣的人才？」陳總沒有生氣，她示意人事經理坐下，給她講起了自己親身經歷的一件事。 她來深圳打工的第二年，所住的小區要拆遷。她和其他三位老鄉商量好一起租房，看了很多房子，最後終於定下了一個高檔小區兩室一廳的精裝修房，家電一應俱全，房租每月1600元，每個人只需分攤400元。當天晚上，她們四人激動得徹夜難眠！ 可是，就在簽合同的那天，A老鄉突然變卦，說自己不想租了，價格太貴，還是去住城中村比較好。無奈，由於租金和押金難以承擔，四個人散夥了，從此再也沒有見過面。 七年後，陳總偶然遇見了另外三個人，談及當年租房那件事，每個人都有不同的看法。 而A老鄉就是做出第一種選擇的人，後來，她在城中村認識了一位男朋友，結婚後依然住在那裡，幾年過去，生活的殘酷，讓A早已忘了自己是個受過高等教育的大學生，經常和別人一樣，大著嗓門，叉著腰和老公爭吵，甚至打架； B是做出第二種選擇的人，她是一個享受主義者，工作的收入雖然還可以，但基本上沒剩下什麼錢，表面上風光無限，生活卻過得捉襟見肘，信用卡透支十分嚴重，談了幾個男朋友都吹了； C是做出第三種選擇的人，她現在已是一家知名外企的業務經理，在深圳市中心貸款買了一套房，談了一位同行的男朋友，正準備結婚，生活過得很滋潤； 而D就是陳總自己，就是當初做出了第四種選擇的人，那時，她已是一家大型文化企業的老總，在深圳買了房，嫁了一位志同道合的老公，家庭幸福，生活優裕，小時候的文學夢也實現了！說到這裏，人事經理似乎明白了。 陳總告訴她：「我絲豪沒有瞧不起城中村的意思，只想說明一個道理，你的心態、你的選擇決定了你的人生。第一種人太自私，只會為自己著想，而如今的社會是一個講究合作共贏的時代，時時處處只考慮自己的利益，這種自私會影響一個團隊的凝聚力；第二種人太會享受，卻不懂得努力，但天下沒有白吃的午餐；第三種人，他明白自己想要過什麼樣的生活，會去努力和奮鬥，並且由於他具備很強的合作意識，更容易得到別人的幫助，也更容易成功；而第四種人，具有更高的眼界，有方向，有目標，有理想，同時也合作精神，凡事能從大局出發，所以，他最終會成為自己命運的主宰！」 聽到這裏，人事經理已經全明白了，她紅著臉退出了陳總的辦公室。她在工作筆記上鄭重寫下一句話：心態決定選擇，選擇決定人生！你有怎樣的心態，你就有怎樣的人生！ 人一輩子沒有出息，往往是因為朋友太少。 如果你的命不好，改變命運的唯一辦法是「找命好的人和他交朋友」，跟著他們，你的命就好。 一生中選擇與誰合作，怎麼合作，需要技巧和方法。 見高人不交，見高師不拜，人生遺憾也。 要想自己命好，最好的辦法是找到命好的人，和他交友，加入他從事的事業。同流才能交流，交流才能交心，交心才能交易，交易才會改變命運。 人脈就是錢脈，關係就是實力，看一個人的實力，就看他周圍的關係。 - See more at: http://www.ntdtv.com/xtr/b5/2014/09/18/a1139310.html#sthash.EYsNXLyH.dpuf

Surprise: Mercury Won't Crash Into Earth Anytime Soon
Scientists have long theorized that there is a small chance that the planet Mercury could collide with Earth one day, which would destroy life on our planet. Now, those chances are even smaller than previously believed. Richard Zeebe, a professor at the University of Hawaii, Manoa, ran 1,600 simulations of the solar system on the university's Intel Xeon-based Cray CS300 system, and not once did Mercury hit Earth over a 5-billion-year period, according to an article in Science. Zeebe said the chance of such a collision is "extremely slim."

NSF Gives $5 Million Boost to Cybersecurity Research
The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded a $5 million grant to bolster the security of scientific research. The grant establishes the existing Center for Trustworthy Scientific Cyberinfrastructure (CTSC) as the NSF Cybersecurity Center for Excellence, an entity that will address the security needs of NSF's scientific community. CTSC will coordinate efforts on improving cybersecurity; it will include education and training to increase security expertise throughout the nation's scientific community, a PSC press release said.

Cloud-Enabled Servers Will Soon Outpace Physical Servers
Modern datacenters are shifting so dramatically toward virtualization that the number of workloads running on physical servers will drop for the first time during 2016, while total workload volume increases by nearly two-thirds worldwide, according to a recent survey by Cisco Systems Inc. The number of datacenter workloads that run alone on a physical server rose 4.8 percent between 2014 and 2015, but increased just 0.2 percent during 2015. It's expected to drop by 1 percent worldwide by the end of 2019, Cisco noted.
